NEWS: WHALE Center Focues on Four Programs for 2009

The WHALE Center will focus on five key programs for 2009: the Waves of Change Campaign, The Global Healing Initiative, Utah URA, Art Forms and The Utah Population and Environment Coalition.

 

The Waves of Change is a five year campaign sponsored by the international Ocean Institute.  Dr. David Randle, WHALE's President & CEO has been asked to be Managing Director of the Campaign 

 

The GLobal Healing Initiative this year plans to work closely with Domes for the World, FreEnegy and other groups to demonstrated sustainable communities.  A proposal has been developed in cooperation with our Malawi project.  WHALE Board Chair Rebecca South is providing key leadership for this program.

 

Utah URI will continue to provide interfaith leadership in Utah with a focus on assisting faith communities in areas of peace, justice, and sustainability.  WHALE Board Member Marsha Pilgeram is the liaison for this program.

Art Forms is led by WHALE Board Member Sarah Zunguze and continues to train women refugees.

 

The Utah Population and Environment Program continues to provide an ecological footprint for communities to make better choices towards sustainable living. Andy Schoenberg is the WHALE Board member liaison for this program.
