We have a moral and ethical imperative to learn about climate change / global warming, and to act appropriately and decisively. This imperative derives from all people living today on the planet and those who will follow us. We cannot have succeeding generations say, of us: "They refused to learn" or "they knew but did not act."
This climate change portal of the Unitarian Universalist United Nations Office (UU-UNO) features topical articles and other resources for climate change / global warming education from authoritative sources, on science, impacts and mitigation / adaptation strategies - emphasizing what you can do to help.
There is a focus on United Nations efforts for countering climate change / global warming, including a direct reporting blog from the 2009 Copenhagen Climate Conference.

In particular, HERE is an essay with reference links dealing with climate contrarians / deniers.
The UU-UNO will feature climate change extensively in 2010. There are four events:
1. An important UU-UNO climate change event will be the UU-UNO Spring Seminar April 8-10, 2010. You can register HERE. We plan to leverage the seminar by broadcasting talks and information to a wide audience, including coverage on this portal.
2. A UU-UNO climate change workshop will be held at the Canadian Unitarian Council's annual conference, May 21-24, 2010 in Victoria, BC.
3. Another upcoming UU-UNO climate change event will be a panel at the UUA General Assembly in Minneapolis, June 24, 2010.
4. UN Sunday on October 24, 2010 will also feature climate change. The topic will be "Ethical Dimensions of a Climate Treaty".
Connections to other UU efforts to combat global warming are featured. For example, here is the
UUA 2006 Statement of Conscience on Global Warming / Climate Change
Some graphics on this portal are from the 2007 IPCC reports, e.g. this graph showing the increase in greenhouse gases and their origins:

HERE is a great video of CO2 concentration in time across the earth, showing the recent increase that the scientific consensus says is the main cause of recent global warming:
