This may be considered off-topic by some, but I don't think so. People are starving in the USA -– WTF is wrong with this picture? Living in Europe gives me an inside/outside perspective on the land of my birth, and it was through this article in French newspaper Le Monde (The World) that I discovered the Witnesses to Hunger project.

Tired of collecting statistics about poverty that didn't seem to move anyone, researcher Mariana Chilton gave cameras to the women who were showing up at her hunger laboratory in Philadelphia. Here's a situation that needs to be re-imagined... people aren't waste, and for anyone to be starving in the US is a damn shame.
