The Accountability project is animated by two central themes:

1. That bankers, and other financial service employees, who defrauded the public in the financial bubble that burst in 2007-08, should be held accountable before the law.  (Also, regulatory agencies must also be strengthened such that they can fully monitor and prevent such behavior from happening again; and that real financial reform be implemented which returns the financial sector to its appropriate role as a means for sound social investment and not a means for making private fortunes.)

That the battle cry “Fight Wall Street” is taken back from the Tea Party right-wing – exposing how the right may proclaim its opposition to Wall Street, but in fact supports policies in the interest of a malignant financial sector.
