IN WHAT WAY IS SEXUAL SELF-EXPRESSION A HUMAN RIGHT?
Scholars from multiple disciplines will gather at the University of Utah February 24 to 26 to consider how sexuality is regulated through varied forms of violence and cultural oppression both within the United States and in other nations.
Key questions to be discussed include: Is sexual self-expression a fundamental human right? Should we treat harassment and victimization against sexual minorities the same as that committed against racial and ethnic minorities? What are the most effective strategies to prevent and address the violence that is used to control sexuality? ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. For more information call 801/587-3556.
