Silicon Valley Open Studios is your chance to visit artists in their studios and shared spaces during the first three weekends in May. Here you'll discover the tremendous diversity and wealth of artistic talent in this creative valley.
Throughout this free event, you'll have a chance to view and enjoy a vast variety of visual expression, including painting, mixed media, photography, sculpture, jewelry, calligraphy, ceramics, fiber arts, pottery, mosaics, metal work, glass, drawing, printmaking, watercolor, woodworking and many more unique and creative one-of-a-kind works or art.
During the coming 23rd annual event, visitors are welcomed into artist's work spaces where they can converse with the artists and purchase artworks directly. This unique event is open to the general public, art enthusiasts, art collectors and investors, educators, and art students. If you are an art collector or investor, what better way to understand the artists' dedication and motivation than by spending some quality time in the intimate setting of their private studios?
Silicon Valley Open Studios is a non-juried event so it is more inclusive than many other public art events. Rather than have a committee judge what your see, you be the judge of what you like. Also, being non-juried, this event attracts many emerging and first-time artists who have recently moved into this area and chose Silicon Valley Open Studios as their first exposure to the buying public. In fact, this is why many of Silicon Valley's finest gallery owners and museum curators tour the event incognito as they search for exciting new artistic talent.
