How To Use the Trunity Platform :How To - Create an Article

The article is the basic building block of content on the Trunity platform. Articles may contain text, images, tables, equations, HTML and more. Articles are saved with meta data that enable them to be easily grouped, filtered and discovered.
A user must be logged into the site and have sufficient privileges to create an article.
To Create an Article:

Click on the Document icon at the top right of the page.

From the dropdown, select 'Article

Enter required Article Info including:
-
Title
-
Alternative Title if desired
-
Choose an Image to be associated with the article, if desired

Enter a caption for the image
-
Enter the cost of this content for inclusion in textbooks or courses on the Trunity platform
5. Enter Header Info
-
Date Published, will default to the current date if not entered
-
Select Author from pull down menu, will default to the current user if not selected
-
Enter additional authors, divided by commas if there is more than one
-
Enter the source of the text if appropriate
-
Enter the source url if appropriate, this is part of adding this content as an RSS feed, enter the url of that feed
-
Add content using the Text Editor
-
Add additional article info
-
Add an Abstract, which will be displayed in the results of a search. If no abstract is created, the search will show the beginning of the content with some of the terms used in the search displayed
-
If a Table of Contents for the article is desired, select the "Show Table of Contents" check box
-
If you wish to eliminate user comments for this article, check that box
-
If this content is to be an RSS feed, check that box
-
If you wish to add a file as an attachement, select the filename
-
Name the attached file
-
Enter any desired publishing notes, these are only visible to the author and users with privileges to edit this content and are used to convey any notes on the status of the content in the publishing process

Enter Copyright Information
-
Enter Location Information if desired, this is not commonly use
-
Enter keywords as tags, separated by commas
-
Select the display and primary location in the taxonomy, there can be multiple locationsfor viewing the content, but only one primary location
7. Click Submit
