Empowerment through Surrender, Awakening and Divine Love
by Dawn MacIntyre
Making most of our time here on earth is not difficult but does require us to develop certain states of mind as well as the higher qualities of our soul. This includes empowering ourselves to succeed and enjoy life, learning to trust and surrender to a higher power, our Divine Selves, and stop trying to do everything by ourself from the place of our personality and finally, becoming fully awakened by developing higher states of being.
How can I transform my victim mentality to one of authentic empowerment
and truly succeed in all areas of my life?
We are, by and large, born with an authentic sense of our own power;one that is unfettered by the consciousness of our parents, family, teachers and society. We are innately aware of our innocence and our intrinsic capability to fulfill our soul's mission easily and gracefully.
As we grow up we become unconsciously transformed to possessing a victim mentality, especially as women, in at least some area of our life if not in most areas. We are run by anger, fear and worry by the time we are adults. Again, while some of this mentality is known to us, much remains unconscious and will continue to do so until we choose otherwise.
It is imperative to take responsibility for our lives and choose empowerment through the process of loving ourselves more fully and deeply, by accepting ourselves as we are in this moment, with all of our strengths and weaknesses, being willing to forgive ourselves and others completely and finally by letting go of our past ….letting go of our pre-conceived notions of who we are and instead become unlimited in our spiritual power and magnificence as women.
Love, acceptance, forgiveness and letting go ….these are the secrets to self-empowerment. It becomes easier for us to develop these deeply within when we are able to finally acknowledge that we are ultimately responsible for the peace, happiness, and personal power that we so richly desire and deserve. Now is the time for us to step up and be fearless in our pursuit of expressing our inner beauty and greatness.
About two months ago I experienced an attempted break-in at my home …I startled the robber as much as he startled me. Fortunately he ran away before any harm came to me. For that one day I allowed myself to feel the shock that comes with the invasion of our privacy and places we deem as our sanctuaries however, the next morning I woke up and chose to not feel like I victim in this situation. As a result I was able to see the gift in the experience and empower myself to act on its blessings.
We will no longer be victims when we choose not to be. And we will become authentically empowered instead.
Why do we need to surrender?
When we move from the victim mentality to one of empowerment we are so busy planting seeds for the manifestation of our desires. This is a time when we work very hard and act on all of our hunches, our intuition, to move forward and lead fulfilling lives.
During this process we will be challenged with certain obstacles and things may not seem to be going according to our original plans and/or in accordance with our timing.
The only solution for this is to surrender and TRUST in the divine process, in divine timing and in the fact the universe is co-creating with us every step of the way. And sometimes our job is to simply step back and let the universe do its job.
If we try to force things, our results are far from what we envisioned and likely won't last. On the other hand when we surrender and trust, we enter into a state of allowing things to happen easily and gracefully, in perfect timing and with end results that are far greater than we could have imagined.
This is how the universe works and it is a beautiful thing …if only we would let it be.
Regardless of how far down the spiritual path we are …this is a constant lesson that will show up for us until we get it …believe me, I know! As evolved as I am, I still get caught up in the timing of things and am learning the art of surrender right along with you.
It may seem that being surrendered is a lazy, inactive way to go about doing business or creating your dreams. The truth is there is no greater act of faith and confidence in our trusting that our divine blueprint is indeed being fulfilled, even when we can't see it, than when we are totally surrendered, at peace and celebrating our accomplishments thus far.
In the end, if we do surrender and enjoy the process, things actually do come together more quickly because we have gotten out of our own way. Solutions magically appear where none were to be found no matter where you looked. It is that simple.
God wants you to be happy ….when you feel stuck or things aren't happening exactly as you had hoped simply "Let go and Let God".
You're worth it and then some.
Why is awakening so important to leading fulfilling lives?
An awakened state of being is ultimately blissful. After mastering the art of trust and surrender we can more easily enter into conscious states of grace, gratitude, beauty, compassion, forgiveness and divine love for ourselves and others. The gift of each of these states is separately magical and collectively heaven on earth.
* Grace: to live in a state of grace simply means that we are mentally and emotionally centered and grounded regardless of outer circumstances and behaviours. In each moment we are able to feel the gift of life and see the best in people and experiences.
* Gratitude:
to live in a state of gratitude asks us to take nothing and no one for granted. To see the blessings that have been bestowed upon you, daily and over time ….and as you do this you will create much more of the same. We always have a choice to focus on the good, or the bad. Choose to focus on all that you have to be grateful for, every day!
* Beauty:
to live in a state of beauty means that we honour the existential beauty within all people and we appreciate the beauty of nature with more reverence…. the beauty of nature, which exists without our forcing anything, is the best example of our unlimited capacity to create beauty in our lives with as little effort.
* Compassion:
as compassionate beings we see the bigger picture. We also see people as doing the best they can given their current level of consciousness ….in being compassionate we create the space for the acceptance and therefore, the growth of others.
* Forgiveness:
Although I listed this one last, forgiveness is paramount to living an awakened life. Radical forgiveness of ourselves and others frees us to become more conscious and awakened ….and to experience the daily miracles life has to offer.
Does this mean we have to live in these states of being all of the time? Absolutely not! We can, at best, only ask of ourselves to come back to these states as quickly as we can. The key to awakening is to be aware of the moments and days that we exist in lower states of being and to have the courage to lift ourself up and out of them, with ease and grace.
And through the Divine Love of ourself,
this becomes second nature.

Are You Suffering from R.A.M.? - You Are Not Alone
by Deidre Madsen
If so, you are not alone. If so, you are most likely experiencing DNA shifts as we (all of creation) move into a higher consciousness both physically and psychologically.
It Is Important To Know That You Are Not Alone
Some people merely pass off these symptoms as physiological in nature, psychological, etc. This is not true. Everything is physically ascending.
Therefore, maintaining an even keel, a balance within, working with ourselves and our issues and pain, gracing our bodies with weekly massages and nurturing healing, being kind to ourselves, forgiving ourselves and others, eating healthy and smart, all these things will help ease us through this time of transition.
As Things Get Lighter Some Things Get Darker
Try Not To Slap A Bandage On Your Inner Pain
There are deep cavernous holes inside of our hearts just begging to be filled with love. We sometimes search for a way to fill this hole through marriage, relationships with friends, volunteer work, owning a pet, careers, travel, great $$ spending binges, over-eating, and addictions of all sorts. While some of these are wonderful ways to experience love, they many not be what we're really requiring for healing. These all seem to fill this void for a little while but we always return to the deep hole void in our hearts and discover the falseness of our recent little foray through life. We learn to see the truth behind the mask of our lives, that there has been no filling up of that space at all, which can plunge us deeper and deeper into despair and loneliness.
What can we do to remedy this within us? Well, we can certainly take a good look at what is happening during this ascension time and gain some clues that will assist us greatly along our path toward self love.
Ascension Offers Gifts in the "End of Times"
We are also learning how incredible the gifts of love Jesus the Christed One has to offer. His experience as Christ Consciousness on this Earth some 2000+ years ago has taught us to love ourselves. He once said that we must love our neighbors as ourselves. When he said that he wanted us to understand how important it was/is to love ourselves fully for only then can we understand the depth and breath of love for our brother. In order to reach out to the world, we must first reach inside. Reach into our hearts and explore, examine and experience.
Another gift from this ascension is the opportunity to let all our past life karma finally rest, be at peace, affording us the chance to fly in the face of freedom, fully. We must take responsibility for all our choices, good or bad. How reassuring this is to know that we have no need for the old patterns and belief systems we brought through to this lifetime.
There is also a greater opening up now of awareness and allowing with many people. More people are open to other spiritual options, realizing the great gifts of many of the world's religions be they Christianity, Buddhism, Zen, Tao, Zoroastrianism, etc. What matters is there is a grain of truth in all things and it is up to us to discover who we are and what we desire to experience in our life ... and then do ourselves the honor to go out and live it fully.
We Are Divine Creations of the Creator
We are made in the likeness of our Mother/Father God/dess. What does this mean to you and me? It means that we can look in the mirror and see ourselves as who we really are. When you look in a mirror, who do you see? Mirror, mirror on the wall? Who is the fairest one of all? Remember, Dear Reader, there is a grain of truth in all things ... even in our fairy tales, especially in our fairy tales.

The Infinite Human: Design
a message from Scott Rabalais
29 September, 2010
Do you ever wonder why you live on this planet, why you fell into your present family and circle of friends or why certain situations occur in life? Why is one’s life designed as it is, with all of its ups and downs? Why do we fall ill or become injured? Why does one experience wealth and fortune while another lives in need and poverty? Does our personal reality follow randomness and chance, or is there a different perception behind the scenes?
As seen from higher consciousness, each of us is the designer of our own realities. We are the architects of our lives. Our reality is what it is because we have drawn it there, just as a painter would draw on a canvas. We create the painting of our life’s story from start to finish, and we do so as a master artist.
And yet the question persists, “If we are the designers of our own realities, why do bad things happen to us?”
An awareness of what we are, our nature as light, is the first step toward bringing perspective to this idea of creative design. We are the cosmos, and the basic ingredient of the cosmos is light. One characteristic of the light heretofore unmentioned is that light dances. The light is in a playful dance with itself, swirling and twirling in a joyful expression of energy. In a word, it is having fun.
As mentioned, our souls are the personification of this light. It is the desire of the light to gain in awareness and experience, to venture about this cosmic playground in an infinite dance. The soul or light being does not dance alone, but with the vastness of the light, of many frequencies and in various dimensions. It is this dance as, in and with the light that is existence itself. The cosmic playground has an infinite variety of energies for us to experience, and we are free to dance with whomever and whatever we wish. That dance is our life.
As human beings, we “feed” the light through awareness. We take in our experiences and are fed other experiences in an ever-expanding circle of awareness. We are here to realize who and what we are at the most expansive levels, and through our self-awareness we see that we are ultimately light and all the qualities of the light.
The design of our lives enables us to experience the light and its qualities to the fullest. Therefore, we dance with the energies that will reveal to us the grandness of our inherent nature, that of light. We interrelate with other aspects of our infinite self to experience qualities such as freedom, harmony, love, order and unity.
Our interrelation on an energetic level is imbued with the infinite intelligence of the cosmos. So, while we may see our interaction with another human being as only involving ourselves and the other, the energies and ramifications involved in such an interaction are vast and endless.
We design our lives, our realities, to the nth degree, all in divine order. On a basic level, we have incarnational choices, such as time of birth, gender, appearance, physical structure and mental capabilities. We choose into which family we will enter, including our parents, siblings, spouse, significant others and our children. We see our career choices before us, our financial status, religious affiliation and places of residence. We see and design major events in our lifetimes, whether that is a broken leg, winning the lottery or a meeting an influential individual. Of course, this grand design is made in conjunction with the many other light beings who will participate with us. All of our soul choices will bring an enhanced awareness and a deeper insight into who and what we are.
All we encounter in our conscious awareness is there, on some level, by grand design. Whether it’s the green frog that crosses our path, the throbbing headache at the end of the day or an immense feeling of peace when viewing a sunset, it is our consciousness that constructs the experience. In short, our consciousness is the creator of our reality.
The scope of intelligence in the grand design of our lives is infinite. In design mode, we see the nearly-incredible cooperation and interrelation between and among countless souls. Further, we see energies of galaxies and solar systems, planets and moons, animals and plants and all sorts of matter – all in a free and orderly dance that is our creative design. To conceive of the enormity of this intelligence at play is far beyond the scope of our conscious minds.
Consider one person in your life you deem important, someone with whom you share a strong interrelation. This person is part of your grand design that is allowing you to become more fully aware of the light and its qualities. And you, as a light being, play the same role for them. Not only does this other light being serve as a reflector for who and what you are, you serve as the same for them. As well, your experience of another light being is simply an experience of yourself as the cosmic light, as you are the all-in-all.
Though some of our designed situations may be judged as “bad,” such as death, injury or loss of wealth, all situations are of immense value, as seen from higher dimensions. Those pesky judgments come only from limited perceptions and do not take into account the infinite intelligence of the light and our inherent nature as light beings. When and how we release the physical vehicle (death, in third-dimensional terms) is also a part of the grand design for our soul experience. Actually, every moment and every circumstance in our realities are of the grand design, created by our own doing and for our own benefit. There are no accidents or mistakes.
The grand design is not manufactured by our thinking minds, though our thoughts are tools by which the grand design can be carried out. Just because we think of something repeatedly does not mean it shall manifest in the design. Instead, our realities are constructed at the soul level, behind the scenes, if you will, where there is available the infinite intelligence and divine order that is our inherent nature. As human beings, we need only allow the soul to manifest as it will, designing not only a reality of abundance, but one in which we are continually conscious of the magnificent qualities of the light.
We design our realities to experience the most magnificent life imaginable – and then some. Not only is it possible to live in such a “heavenly” state of being, it is our very birthright. It is who we are and it is by grand design that we can and do experience the ultimate that the cosmos has to offer. When we rise high enough in our consciousness, we see that it’s all just fun and games, an energetic dance on the infinite playground of the cosmos.
There is nothing in our design that is outside of or apart from us. In a manner of perception, we dance with ourselves, our infinite selves, no matter the appearances. And in this dance, we see and experience the many glorious aspects of who and what we are. We dance with unity; we skip with harmony; we waltz with love and we fly with freedom.

This is a divinely intelligent Universe you're living in and so there simply is no such thing as a "wrong" experience. Whatever painful memories you have in your past are there for only one purpose; to instigate a step towards a higher level of consciousness and transform your heart in the most profound way. Yes, every harsh experience in life contains a potentially enlightening epiphany within it. Everyone is given the exact experiences their soul needs to awaken from this Maya (dream world) and be completely liberated from the "karmic baggage" they've been dragging around for lifetimes.
Any situation that triggers you is a good pointer as to where you're still enslaved on the big stage of life. When you repeatedly act out of fear, being defensive, judgmental or resistant you are missing the point. Each experience in life is your big opportunity to receive deeper love and healing. The very instant you notice a contracted feeling arising inside, choose to accept it and embrace it. Play the role of "accepting what is" and you'll become free from getting snagged in any role. This is how you can heal yourself and truly be empowered in this life.
Emotional suffering is always self-inflicted when you look at the roots of its manifestation. When you realize you are 100% responsible for the limiting beliefs you have about the world, yourself and everyone in it, you are empowering yourself with the ability to change. This instigates a new compassion inside you and you spiritually start growing! For example, if you are blaming another person for "making you feel upset" about something, you first need to realize that nobody can "make you" feel anything you don't want to feel. You can always choose to respond from the higher place of compassion and love.
"Only when you can understand yourself as All Pervading Consciousness can you possibly understand that all the universe is an emanation of your mind.
Everything that you see comes out of you."
~Robert Adams
Every negative reaction you have is like an S.O.S. message the ego sends out as a desperate attempt to find healing. Look inside and notice right now if you're carrying an emotional burden about something from the past. It may feel like a heavy weight, or an annoyance on your chest, a bit of fear, lack or limitation each time you think about it. Just feel it and let it go. Holding onto any sort of baggage can be hard to see, that is why we have 7 billion other mirrors on the planet. When that certain someone comes around (like mom, dad, or your sibling) who knows how to instantly push your buttons with one little comment, the burred pain rises to the surface to be fully revealed and seen. These beings are the ones who will help you transform from being a victim of your life, to the compassionate master of your life. The secret is having awareness of what limiting thoughts you're still holding onto.
When you become emotionally responsible for your every experience then you cannot become a victim to life again. If someone can upset you it only means that this person is your teacher who is here to empower you to spiritually grow beyond your wildest imagination. The moment a potential painful comment is said, you instantly have the choice to take it on or let it go! The practice of choosing to either let things go or take them on is where you get your power back. When you can let people's defeating words glide right off your chest it, its the first step to self love and finding true inner peace within you.
Make time everyday to rest deeply inside your being. There is a place of deep compassion inside you where that can free your mind from any suffering instantly. This self loving habit can stop the mind and its addiction to drama and its karmic impulses. With self love you'll be able to see, smell and feel the divine truth of who and what you are. You can see through the illusion of separateness and realize we are all one. This is where the inner battle ends and divine pure awareness begins. You then take center stage in your life and are liberated from ever becoming stuck in a performance where you're playing out that old suffering scene once again.
You Can Stop Struggling and Start Living the Abundant Magical Life that
You Are Here to Live!

Just as a storm in the atmosphere of the earth is born of conflicting fronts of different temperatures colliding with one another, so too must there be conflicting forces within us in order to form a mental or emotional storm. Our task is to become conscious of these unseen forces that dwell in the unenlightened parts of us. As we grow to realize that no disturbance can remain within us without our granting it the force it needs to sustain its fury, we realize that we have at our disposal two great powers. We are empowered to dismiss storms when they appear in our psychic system and, with time and practice, we can learn to dismiss these disturbances before they begin!
What are these invisible conflicting forces at work within us that cause so much foul weather? We uncover the first of these unconscious forces by recognizing that the storms in our lives all share a common cause. Each storm, large or small, centers around something that happens to us that we don't want to be happening for whatever reasons. A few quick examples prove this insight, but best success is assured if you will fill in the blanks from your own experience. Imagine a woman caught in an emotional firestorm of anger because she does not want to be treated like that. Or a man who feels trapped by a tormenting depression because he doesn't want what life continues to bring to him. Can we see that these two storms share a common root? Both rise as they do because of our unconscious resistance to something that has already happened.
Whenever we face an unwanted event and find ourselves feeling nothing but resistance, we can discover that this stress-mess is made from our insistence that this should not have happened. And how about when we recall past mistakes, painfully reliving how we fell down -- either a moment ago or ten years back? Aren't we sure that whatever that error may have been -- it shouldn't have taken place?
Which brings us to the following insight that deserves a few moments extra consideration. It feels natural for us to go along with the feeling of not wanting what we are powerless to change! What on earth lies hidden in this strange struggle of ours that compels us to wrestle with what amounts to mental ghosts? After all, once something has happened in our life -- that moment is over; it's gone, done with, finished. Clearly, what was no longer exists in the here and Now. So, we have to ask ourselves, given this understanding that is above dispute, how can something from our own past feel as real and as alive as it does to us in the present moment? The following answer brings us one step closer to living in a world without storms.
Within our mind lingers an untold number of chemically and electrically stored images of the way things were. These mental pictures include complete scenes of every experience past, as well as pleasurable or frightening images of what is yet to come. And these same images are secret storehouses of all the sensations that accompanied them in the moment of their creation. Each one is laden with its original emotional content that pours into us each time we revisit them. To help visualize how this unseen psychic sequence unfolds within, put yourself in the place of this imaginary person -- Barbara -- walking down the street. As Barbara window-shops her eye catches sight of a lace-sleeved lavender blouse on sale in one of her favorite stores. In an instant, Barbara recalls wearing a similar blouse many years ago the night her father passed away. Now, virtually unnoticed, a small wave of regret washes over her. For reasons unknown to her, as she stands there still looking at a blouse she feels sure should be in her closet, she is beginning to think about the last words she had with her father, and how she wishes she would have said something else.
The more Barbara is drawn into these flooding considerations,.... the more she suffers. And the more unwanted this painful experience becomes, the more she unconsciously resists her mounting turmoil until she is caught in a full-blown storm. Haven't we all been there before? Where a seemingly harmless thought, which we turn over in our mind, becomes a tornado? Well, it need not be like that . . . for any of us!
The only reason we ever find ourselves caught in a psychological storm is because we have been drawn, without knowing it, into identifying with -- actually merging with -- mental images from our past. These images are pre-loaded -- rather like psychological time capsules -- with punishing thoughts and feelings that flood into us the instant we identify with them. As the invisible, but psychically palpable blows from these painful memories pour through on us, we are unconsciously moved to try and resist them -- all of which makes us feel as though we are trapped in a storm about which we can do nothing other than try to escape its lashing!
Once we invite the following insight to become our own, we need never again endure the pounding of such negative states: No storm of mental torment or dark, emotional suffering belongs to you. Any wave of resentment, anxiety, or fear that comes to wash you away is nothing more than a kind of psychic residue left over from who you once were. Not only do these negative states have nothing in common with your True Nature, but they cannot enter into the living Now where this higher consciousness lives.
This same truth can be said in a slightly different way: we cannot be punished by any painful storm when we are grounded in the present moment. The reason for this perfect protection is as pure as it is simple: psychological storms are powerless to push their divisive and destructive forces into the spiritual harbor of Now because, within Its native wholeness, they have no way to remain there. Now let's pull these important lessons together in a short summary.
We have seen that the storms we suffer are not born simply from any particular event that takes place, but rather they rise from an unknown ground in us due to our undetected resistance to them. Further, these unwanted events that we so strongly resist are not the actual events themselves. What we secretly struggle against in these moments are unwanted images of that event fashioned by ourselves. This occurs, for example, when we imagine a fearful future, or see ourselves thrown for a social loss of some sort. In these moments we suffer, as we do, because we are looking at what we don't want to see. And then, because we don't know that we have been tricked into giving these negative fantasies our attention, we try to imagine ways to escape their punishing presence. The more we struggle to get away, the more attention we inadvertently lend to what we wish would disappear! It's a great paradox: not wanting to look upon what is bothering us keeps what is bothering us in plain view! But now we are beginning to see our way out of this trap.
From this moment forward, whenever some dark storm appears in us we must neither run from it, nor stand there and hate what we think is happening. Instead we must awaken to ourselves, bring ourselves back into the Now and quietly, deliberately, drop any image that our thought-nature presents within us to justify the brewing conflict. Learning to dismiss the storms that sink our chances to be happy takes dedicated inner work, but you may be assured such powers are possible.
Your True Nature already dwells beyond the reach self-wrecking storms.
