Maa Community Foundation, Health Awareness Peer Education Programme, IMPACT Kenya Youth Initiative and Tabaiki Sports Association are organizing a Tree planting and Sports activity, aimed at improving the state of our local environment in support of Keep Narok Clean, Clean Up the World, HIV/AIDS Free Kenya, and G-pange campaigns. As Members of the above campaigns in 2010, our local efforts will be recognized both locally and internationally.
Since inception the Campaign has partnered with the County council of Narok, Ewaso Nyiro South Development Authority, Town Council of Narok, World Vision, APHIA (II) Rift and Co-operative bank in Clean Up, tree planting and Sports Activities and in training solid waste management teams (green brigades) in all the markets in the district and has so far reached 360 households in Narok town. IMPACT Kenya Youth Initiative is an independent; youth led community based organization committed to the empowerment of young people in Kenya to take active responsibility for their lives to shape their destiny. Impact Kenya Youth Initiative provides a platform where young people can engage in and with their communities to bring lasting positive change. Working in the areas of Health, Justice & Human Rights, Democracy & Governance and Environment & Livelihoods, we facilitate change through partnerships, advocacy, research and capacity development.
