International Disaster Reduction: Communication
Satellite wifi systems can maintain communication even during disasters via the internet while other systems may be down.
Perhaps more importantly local officials do not need to rely on national media networks to get the news, updates, and other important information out before, during, and following a disaster.
Each community can create their own internet broadcast page allowing real time up to date info for all its citizens in times before, during and after disasters.
Each community can have its own disaster web and video community page.
