Sego Lily School New Building project

A Revolution Disguised As A School

Sego Lily School, founded in 2003, is now in our seventh year of operations. We have reached the capacity of our building, with 42 students from about 30 families. The space constraints are obvious, as rooms are constantly re-purposed and rearranged to accommodate our students' needs.

Because we have run out of room, and because a larger building will help us to remain financially viable over time, we have decided to build a new facility. This state-of-the-art building, build to the highest possible green and sustainable standards, will serve us for the immediate and indefinite future.

We began with a brainstorming session, where students and staff created a list of about 50 things we wanted in our new building - gardens, a large reading space, science areas, solar panels, and more. Since then, the building committee has met we
ekly and we are now closing in on a plan for the facility.

The building committee meets every first and third Wednesday at 6 pm at the school. We welcome visitors and interested parties to participate in these meetings - they are open to school community members and anyone else who wants to come play! We will continue to meet weekly until further notice, when our plans become concrete, and our concrete becomes a building!
