Campus Peace Centers was a proud co-sponsor of "The Power of Youth to Promote the Culture ofPeace," which took place on Friday, October 30 as the final event of the UNWeek of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns 2010.
Guest speakers included Amb. Awarul K. Chowdhury, who is a retired Under Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dr. David Adams, formerly of UNESCO, and youth speakers Oliver Rizzi Carlson and Jennifer Ijichi. There was chanting by Swamini Sri Lalitambika, music by Michael Mills and his drumming ensemble, a lively open mic to hear from students and others, a beautiful slide presentation by Gloria Owens (see her work here), and dancing that brought everyone to their feet.
