Astrochannels: What We Do

What do we do? We capture live video (yes, live) of deep space objects and stream these feeds, live, for Webcasting, so that anybody with Web access and a media player can join in the fun. The live video views include often mind-bogglingly beautiful objects such as galaxies, galaxy clusters, nebulae, globular clusters, stars, planets (local to our solar system!), the Moon, etc. The streams include something of a production (without the kitsch polish of most such productions) such as commentary on the objects themselves and any philosophical editorializing or poetic discourse to demonstrate our high level of intelligence (uh-huh). In short, we don't hire any "talent" (with the teeth and the hair and whatnot). We do it ourselves, and we do it in order to have fun to make it fun. From time to time we'll throw a party, and in effect will ask you to join the party in the virtual way. Until now, the residents of the infinite expanses of the deep dark sky have been the sole province of dedicated hobbyists, professionals and government people, but now you can view these stunning and mysterious beauties from your computer or television, and the views will rival photos that you have most likely seen somewhere before; on the Web, calendars, anything to do with Hubble Space Telescope, etc.
