The Environmental Protection Agency of Liberia (EPA) welcome abstracts for the 2nd National Environmental Conference is scheduled to be held in Monrovia from October 7-11, 2013. The stipulated deadline for the submission of abstracts is August 30, 2013.

Building Effective and Efficient Institutional and Human Capacities
Complete Decentralization Process of EPAL Operations
Developing Environmental Laws, Regulations and Enforcement Guidelines
Effective Environmental communication, Education & Public Awareness Programs
Ensuring effective Environmental Monitoring, Audit and Evaluation
Developing Strategic Internal and External Cooperation for Resource Mobilization
Mainstreaming Climate change and Implementing Multilateral Agreements
Energy/Renewable : Rural and Urban
Preference will be given to abstracts that focus on capacity building for the Environmental Protection Agency in Liberia with relevance to topics mentioned above. The abstract should be no more than one page, single-spaced, ranging from 250 to 350 words in Times New Romans font size 12. It must include the name, title, institutional or organizational affiliation and full contact details of the author or authors.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Forum abstract Committee on the basis of scholarship qualities, the extent of the original research, the rigor of the analysis, innovation, insightful contributions towards environmental capacity building, best practices, the significance of the conclusions as well as their relevance to issues affecting the environment in Liberia. The decision of the Abstract Review Committee is final.
