The newly completed school of the Southern Sudan Education project provides a safe and cool place to teach the children.  The Eco-Shell construction also provides protection from tornadoes, termites, while providing a warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer space

In 2008, seven additional class rooms and six teachers offices were added to the school to compliment the Dome.  The school has also added a store room for books and supplies, a water tank using a submersible water pump, and a grinding mill.

Originally funded as a prject of the WHALE Center Global Healing initiative, the ownership of the new Southern Sudan School is in the full ownership of the members of the Vilage in Southern Sudan.

Abraham Keech, one of the original "lost boys" and co-founder of the Southern Sudan Education project is currently residing in the Village to administer the program.

For 2009 funding permitting, the school plans to build a dinning hall and two additional classrooms.

The Southern Sudan Education Project was the vision of Kristy Swapp and Abraham Keech.
