No mother or father should have to give their child or children up for adoption so that they can attain the life that all children deserve. Every family should have the means to provide food, shelter, and an education for their children. It is unfortunate that after the discontinuation of the massive relief efforts, poor Haitian families, especially in the countryside will be forced to seek neo-slave wages in sweatshops in the city in order to provide for their children.
On the evening of 1/12/2010, the world was forced, again, to see the “power of the people”. When major media failed to connect on the ground of the disaster, the mass met the challenge of communication. The truth surfaced live and bold through the threads of social media.
