Can Cities and Conservation Coexist?
By 2030, new urban areas will collectively create a giant city equivalent to the entire state of Texas. What does this mean for nature and people: species loss and declining natural resources such as fresh water (according to Conservancy scientists). If we do not focus our efforts in cities we will fail in our mission to protect biodiversity.
