Student Projects
Physical labor builds character. Every year the students particpate in a mock labor camp. Its the only way they can really relate to so many proud moments in American history.

I have generously offered my personal farm outside town to host these camps. Over the years, we have built a nice replica of Topaz (WWII Jap internment camp) and a traditional migrant worker camp so the kids are well accomodated.
This Spring we will force my 7th grade class to clear about 10 acreas of forest by hand starting with 14 hour shifts Saturdays and Sundays as warm up for 18 hour shifts straight through Spring break.
The kids just LOVE playing labor camp!
Please do not give them sun screen. It ruins the authenticity.
