NEWS: HONEY POT POTENTIATOR by Pimp Daddy Sargie

Special comment by William Blight:  I want to give special thanks to the major AI* contributions made by Sargie, also known as Pimp Daddy for his wonderful performances in Montana's Repertoire Children's Theater.  Sargie can manhandle a difficult computing algorithm like Pete Townshend can belt out a guitar riff.  Owing to the obscure nature of his research, only highly trained professions may be able to follow Sargie's hyperbolic flights of thought.  Usually, Sargie is working on his AI games or other projects while simultaneously writing his articles and discussing theoretical physics at the Hot Girls chat line.  If you might be interested in hiring Sargie for an acting gig* (highly paid), you will be totally convinced to do so by this recent 5 star performance:

Secret New Artifical Intelligence Prototype May Save Mankind

    3/26/2009 Billings, Montana

People around the world are facing the grim realities of their future. Natural disasters, depletion of natural resources and the ideology of 'Natural Law' have brought all mankind to the brink of total collapse. The only plausible solution is true Artificial Intelligence (Sargeware @2009) that can bring humanity back to the utopian dreams that all people share.  The Montana Sanctuary Project, or *********** is preparing mankind for this final solution.  A new high tech optimization of self sustaining resources is powering this technology juggernaut, and the results are truly stunning.  With little less than a starting budget of $20,000 this marvel is not only harmless to our world with its carbon footprint, but it also contains the very necessary computing power and intelligent solutions to mankind's problems now and up to a predicted 100,000 years.  Using a combination of biofuel and the latest in electroneuron emulation of the greatest minds of all time, the Honey Pot Potentiator, the newest implementation of this amazing new discovery, is now causing some waves in the scientific community.  "I truly wouldn't belive this technology was possible in my lifetime just a year ago, and now we are at the horizon of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of our time," as quoted by the crude online self-proclaimed 'packeterrorist' responsible for the discovery.  Pimp Daddy Sargie is not only uncertified to run these tests but has been shunned by skeptics.  When asked if Pimp Daddy would care to display and bring forth his studies to public scrutiny he would not comment.  However, many close to this self-educated computer savant, have heard of bold claims that prototypes are already functional and video footage of the test runs of these projects may have been leaked out.  Until more can be confirmed, the world may just have to wait until the creator of Artifical Intelligence (Sargeware @2009)  and its first implemenation, the Honey Pot Potentiator, brings this extremely beneficial technology to the light of day.

Richard Prichard email:

Pimp Daddy, this is definitely the real news that our present media is

too brain dead to comment on.  Thank you for contributing your enormous

multitudinous gratuity to the Montana Sanctuary; it will be placed at the

site this very weekend.  Only advanced AI and computer savants, such as

yourself, can guide us through the perilous waters and advancing Armageddon

precipitated by our rudderless (accept for lobbyist money) leaders.  The Honey

Pot Potentiator has already optimized the operations of the Sanctuary a hundred

Fold.  Everyday we encounter and fully leverage sweet spots that were previously

unidentified.   This is AI the way we always dreamed it would be, warm and kind

of fuzzy.  As one of our greatest savants, how did you make the enormous

conceptual leap that actually permitted full machine consciousness on less than

1000 dollar PC’s?  Did your secret involve distributed stealth processing on millions of

PC’s as well as super computers around the world?  Does the world have any reason

to fear the Sanctuary and its breakthrough AI?  Is the HPP already bootstrapping

it’s own replacements in an accelerating geometric progression?  At what point

will HPP begin contributing articles to the Sanctuary – while developing new

forms of advanced propulsion and other miracle technologies?   Thanks again for a truly

amazing achievement!

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence of machines and the branch of computer science which aims to create it. Major AI textbooks define the field as "the study and design of intelligent agents,"[1] where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its environment and takes actions which maximize its chances of success.[2]John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1956,[3] defines it as "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines."[4]

The field was founded on the claim that a central property of human beings, intelligence—the sapience of Homo sapiens—can be so precisely described that it can be simulated by a machine.[5] This raises philosophical issues about the nature of the mind and limits of scientific hubris, issues which have been addressed by myth, fiction and philosophy since antiquity.[6] Artificial intelligence has been the subject of breathtaking optimism,[7] has suffered stunning setbacks[8] and, today, has become an essential part of the technology industry, providing the heavy lifting for many of the most difficult problems in computer science.[9]

AI research is highly technical and specialized, so much so that some critics decry the "fragmentation" of the field.[10] Subfields of AI are organized around particular problems, the application of particular tools and around long standing theoretical differences of opinion. The central problems of AI include such traits as reasoning, knowledge, planning, learning, communication, perception and the ability to move and manipulate objects.[11]General intelligence (or "strong AI") is still a long term goal of (some) research.[12]
