If my memory serves, good ole Carl Rove developed the wedge strategy for controlling the American public. If you get fundamentalist Christians hot and bothered about the Gays and Right to Life, then you can stay in power and reward your real friends and cronies. It's interesting that a crony outfit like Blackwater has recently changed its name to Xe (sounds kind of Frenchy doesn't it). Perhaps truth in packaging should require that AIG (as recommended by John Stewart) should change its name to Herpes, and I think Blackwater should be changed to Bilgewater.
