What are the politicians doing?

Politicians must be continually kept under a magnifying glass and periodically dissected. Unfortunately, the rich Washington life style (as well as the continue rubbing up with lobbyists) can eventually give any politician a bigger-than-life concept of their importance. Like the entitled class at AIG, they can easily begin rationalizing their theft of the public treasury and trust. If you know of any such shenaningans, please comment below:

Does anyone know why Max Baucus prevented legislation to stop the tax breaks of the top 1 percent? I guess I'm naive because I thought he was for the regular folks in Montana. What is the lobbyist connection that's pulling his strings?
